This is the final Aria and is part of an ensemble scene in Mark Adamo\\\'s Little Women based on the Novel by Louisa May Alcott. The ensemble scene is an imagined moment where the lead character Jo, is in the attic of her childhood home and sings with and to ghostly images of her sisters as they were when they were children. Jo\\\'s character arc is primarily about her releasing control; throughout the Opera, she is possessive of her sisters, not wanting them to marry or move away. She accepts now that their childhood is over and that although that time was special, it is ok for them to be moving on to \\\"separate goals\\\". | | |
